A collection of vintage comic segments arranged on canvas with painted wooden strips. The work is mounted behind conservation glass within a dark brown, wooden frame.

Using a single Marvel comic from the late 1970’s, small sections have been cut from the pages and laid out to form a vibrant, geometric pattern. The painted black wood at the top and bottom are reminiscent of the borders surrounding comic panels.

Drawing inspiration from the Marvel films this century, this is a look back at the source material which evokes a sense of childhood nostalgia.
