Vintage paper targets, painted wood on canvas
113 x 83cm
SOLD
A collection of original, vintage paper targets and painted wood arranged on canvas with a three-dimensional element. The work is mounted behind conservation glass within a dark brown, wooden frame.
Sourced from a London flea market, these 1930’s practice targets are laid in a grid-like formation with the addition of painted wooden strips. Evoking an industrial feel they have been transformed to exist within a different context from their original function.
The individual marks and discolouration of the paper indicate the history of the items which have now been preserved for a contemporary audience.
